Microneedling

At The Oliver Smith Clinic Microneedling therapy is only available from trained medical practitioners.

Microneedling is a natural skin rejuvenation method that fills and softens wrinkles and scars. It does not use chemicals, fillers, injections or lasers.

Your practitioner will use a medical dermaroller device to produce thousands of micro-medical needle columns in the skin.

When the needles are rolled across the skin, thousands of microscopic "pin pricks" are created. As your skin heals underneath, it uses your own collagen to fill the "valleys" of wrinkles and scars naturally without removing the top layer of skin.

A topical anaesthetic will be applied to your skin making the procedure comfortable: a treatment normally lasts 30 minutes.

Microneedling treatments can be used for alopecia, stretch marks and facial and décolleté lines and wrinkles.

In the treatment of acne, scars and other types of scarring it may be necessary for your treatments to be extended.
